These terms are an agreement between you and Nsibidi Labs LLC ("we", "us") for your use of the Cotake apps, website and service ("Cotake"). By using Cotake you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Cotake.
You must be at least 13, or older where the law of your country requires it, and allowed to agree to these terms. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to them with you. You can't use Cotake if we have suspended your account.
You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep your device secure: you're responsible for what happens in your account. The name you use must not impersonate anyone.
Cotake has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not film, upload, share or say anything that:
Film only people who are happy to be filmed, follow the host's and the venue's rules, and ask a parent before filming children.
You can report a film, an event or a person from inside the app, or use the "Report this film" link on any film page. Anyone can block anyone: a guest can block the host or another guest, and a host can block a guest. When you block someone, you leave the events they host, they're removed from the events you host along with their clips, and neither of you can join the other's events. In events neither of you hosts, the app hides them from you; clips they filmed can still be in that event's films, which you can report. Hosts can remove a guest and their clips. Names and event and shot titles are checked against a list of blocked words before they're saved. We review every report within 24 hours. When content breaks these terms we remove it, and we remove and suspend the users who posted it. We may do so without notice.
You own the clips you film. So that Cotake can work, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transcribe and edit your clips into films, and to show those clips and films to the members of the event and to anyone who has a film's link, with your name in the credits. We use this licence only to run Cotake, and it ends for each clip when it is deleted from Cotake.
When you film in someone's event, your clips become part of that event's films, and the host and the event's members can watch and share those films. The host can delete your clips or the whole event. You can delete your own clips at any time, and the films are remade without them.
You're responsible for your clips, and you confirm you have the right to film and share them.
Each film has a private link. Anyone who has the link can watch the film, so share it with care. Deleting the event stops its links working.
You can stop using Cotake and delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or end your access, and remove your content, if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect others. If we stop offering Cotake, we'll tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
Cotake is free. Films are made by our own render computer and can take some time to appear. We work to keep Cotake running and your content safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or that nothing will ever be lost. Keep your own copies of anything that matters to you.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Cotake is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for content other people film or share. Our total liability to you for any claim about Cotake is limited to US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you; nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.
If you got Cotake from Apple's App Store:
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and tell you in the app before material changes take effect; using Cotake afterwards means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, except where the law of your country says otherwise.
